The story behind the little Horten type HLG is very simple. A group of dedicated modellers, who live near Genoa, Italy had taken an initiative to interest young kids in slope soaring.  Relatives build cheap hand launched gliders (HLG), that the children launch downhill, with about 12 meters of altitude difference.
.......Ferdi designed and built the tailless he is holding in the picture and are in the construction drawings.
Most of the instructions are in Italian, but any modeller could easily builld it with scrap material.
.......One HLG launched by the builder glided downhill for 18 seconds, which turned out to be the best duration time of the day.
